Autograph letter signed, dated : Leipzig July 30 1836, to [Ignaz Moscheles], 1836 July 30.

Saying that he has been working every day on Moscheles's compositions, telling him he plans to dedicate his piano concerto to Moscheles--he has just sent it to Haslinger in Vienna and Moscheles should have it in about four weeks--, thanking him for the news from Thomson, mentioning Mendelssohn and Klingemann, mentioning his [Piano] Sonata [op. 11] that Moscheles heard Clara Wieck play and asking if he would write a criticism of the sonata for the [Neue] Zeitschrift [für Musik] since Schumann is at war with the world and since writing criticsm about oneself is difficult and thankless, adding that the sonata does not even bear Schumann's name but only "Florestan und Eusebius" as the author on the title page, etc.
