Autograph letter signed, dated : Baden-Baden Aug. 2 1865 , to Karl Klauser in Farmington (Conn.), 1865 Aug. 2.

Thanking him for his warmly expressed respect for her husband, saying that in London (from which she has just returned) she discovered that Robert Schumann has a wide circle of devoted admirers in England as well, that Klausen's arrangements show how much of an adherent he is to the compositions but adding that, to be quite frank, she is not in general in favor of arrangements, saying she has not received the new edition of the Jugend-Album and therefore cannot say anything about it, expressing the hope that they will meet sometime in Europe, asking him to greet the inhabitants of the "Schumanns Ville," etc.
