Saying he will send the score of La terre promise, which he hopes to present at the Trocadéro, asking why Berlioz, Franck, and Saint-Saëns are played at concerts and not Gounod, mentioning Gounod's Redemption and Mors et Vita, his own Henry VIII, asking if it could be explained in the newspapers that the "Marche Hongroise" is not by Berlioz, only orchestrated by him, and is the Hungarian national anthem and should not be applauded at concerts, insisting on real castanets in Hail, California! and on an alto trombone in La terre promise, complaining about lack of heat, etc.
