Sending [not present], through his cousin Edouard, an almost complete volume of his published songs, thanking him for his willingness to make possible [Princess Carloyne Sayn-Wittgenstein's] communication with her mother, referring to the Princess as "la seule personne qui me s'est infinement plus chère que mes songes et que la Musique même!," asking the recipient to be sure that certain letters reach Mme I[wanowska, Sayn-Wittgenstein's mother]--if they fall into the wrong hands there could be considerable loss of money--, referring to this situation as the most important event of his life--the event that takes precedence over everything else--, saying that he will never forget the small number of friends who have been good to him as well as fair towards "celle qui restera toujours pour moi, la visible bénédiction de Dieu," etc.
