Autograph letter signed, dated : [Paris, ca. 25 April 1841], to M. [Heinrich Carl] Breidenstein, 1841, ca. 25 April.

Saying that he just gave his last concert at the Conservatoire for the benefit of the Beethoven Monument, that the proceeds were 7,000 francs but that the expenses were greater than expected since all the musicians, except Berlioz, asked to be paid, that the members of the royal family who were present at the concert have not yet contributed anything, asking Breidenstein to let him know exactly how much has been collected up to the present, adding that around mid-July he will be on the Rhine, where he hopes to spend at least six weeks: "J'ai grand besoin de respirer un peu de cet air allemand, si franc et si loyal," etc.; at the top of p. 1, Liszt tells Breidenstein to write him at 18 Great Marlborough St. (chez Erard), London.
