Concerning some songs he intends to compose for Voltaire's Pandore, expressing his dislike for "les châtrés" [castrati singers], saying that if French recitative is nothing but true declamation notated, who better than Voltaire should guide him in that art of which he is sovereign, mentioning Candide, Molière, etc.; with a letter from Lytton Strachey, dated Marlborough, 29 September 1930, to Mr. Myers [a London dealer], about La Borde's letter.
