Saying that he is sending a copy of his first work, which has finally appeared, reminding him of his promise to send some of his own works of which his "kleine Lieder" would especially interest him, adding that he wishes to dedicate his second work, twelve etudes, to the king, that he will travel to St. Petersburg that winter, mentioning Frl. [Charlotte] Pistorius, etc.
