Saying that she's had bad luck, that something has embarrassed her greatly, that a named but unidentified singer should have played the chevalier's role "dans la manie des proverbes," that it was only a means of saving themselves, humorously asking if he would do her the pleasure of playing the role of the chevalier, adding that the success of her proverb now depends on him, etc.
