Autograph letter signed : [London, n.d., 1850's(?)], to an unidentified recipient, [n.d., 1850's?].

Writing at the suggestion of Mrs. [Harriet] Grote, saying that Paul Mendelssohn is collecting the letters of his late brother, Felix, and hopes to use them in a "Life and Correspondence" of the composer that will be written by Professor [Johann Gustav] Droysen, and asking to borrow letters that the recipient might have from Felix about an opera.
