Apologizing for his mishandling of a recent situation: he intended to buy copies of several items for his collection and return the recipient's copies, and he still hopes the recipient will relinquish them; he understands from Bockmühl that the recipient is also a cellist, and sends a few pieces of his own which he hopes will calm to recipient's anger.
