Expressing regret that the Philharmonic Society has declined his Stabat Mater and acknowledging Sudlow's offer to give it at the Theatre Royal, discussing some of the difficulties in performing it, mentioning his uncle, suggesting Sir H[enry] Bishop's cantata The Seventh Day for the rest of the program, etc.
