Asking him [in 1841] not to give the manuscript [of the Tarantella] to Troupenas until Schuberth writes, saying that the "touchy Hungarian" Liszt is mixed up in these money matters, and asking Fontana to copy out again "that wretched Tarantella" to send to Wessel as soon as he knows the date of publication; and asking him [in 1848] to welcome Herbault, discussing the political and military situation with regard to Poland, Austria, France, Russia, Italy, etc.
