Autograph letter signed, dated : Paris, 14 June 1826, to [Frédéric] Bérat in Rouen, 1826 June 14.

Thanking him for his sympathy on the death of St. Just, saying that his daughter Zenobie was ill all the past winter, and that his wife has not been well either--fortunately, he and Salvador are well--, but as Bérat can well imagine, composition "n'a pas été à l'ordre du jour:" Cherubini is too old and too busy to think of composing, etc.
