Lindsay Hill was born in 1952 in San Francisco, California. While attending Bard College, his first book of poetry, Avelaval, was published. After graduating from Bard in 1975, Hill continued writing and publishing while working as an investment banker. In 1995 he retired from finance to pursue poetry full-time.
