Records document the administrative duties of the Dean of Students, and the many programs and support services for which the Dean has responsibility. Included are subject files, annual reports, committee files, correspondence and minutes. Also documented here are the activities of the Dean of Men and Dean of Women, positions which were phased out after 1967, following the creation of the Dean of Students office in 1964.

In response to the recommendations of the Board of Trustees outlined in the 1961 Gladieux Report, responsibilities for student affairs were consolidated under the Dean of Students, a position created in 1964.
