Donald Leo Malick was a Denver artist whose wildlife paintings have been published and displayed throughout the U.S., including at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS). Born in 1929 in Olean, NY, Malick served as a staff artist for the Denver Museum of Natural History (now DMNS) from 1962 to 1973. He illustrated a major portion of Birds of Colorado, by Bailey and Niedrach, and made three trips to Africa. His first was a journey to Botswana as part of a 1969 museum expedition. Malick ...
