Family papers, 1857-1990, 1916-1950.

This collection contains correspondence, diaries, writings, photographs, miscellaneous printed materials, and artifacts collected and created by Edith Bunker Davis to document the work in Africa (1891-1917) of her missionary parents, the Rev. Fred Robert Bunker (1859-1946) and Isabel Richards Bunker (1865-1950). Papers also provide details about the lives of Edith B. Davis' four brothers, Paul, Wilfrid, Kenneth, and Sydney, who established successful careers in education, diplomacy, international business, and the Congregational ministry. Unfortunately, apart from her diaries, little information is available pertaining to the personal life of Edith Davis.
