Research notes, photographs, and correspondence about the Richardson family of silversmiths from Philadelphia. Most of the material was gathered for the publication of Mrs. Fales' book, Joseph Richardson and Family: Philadelphia Silversmiths. Collection includes photocopies and/or transcriptions of Richardson family daybooks, account books, and letters, and Mrs. Fales' indexes to these materials. As well, there are many photographs of silverware made by members of the Richardson family and photos of faked pieces. There is some information about other silversmiths and a trade card for John Cook, a coppersmith and brazier from Philadelphia.
