The records consist of the files of the executive directors and other program leaders. Files include correspondence, clippings, printed material, reports, conference papers, and subject files. The records provide information on a wide variety of church-state and religious liberty issues. Prayer and Bible reading in public schools, Vatican ambassadors, chaplains, state aid to church schools and hospitals, taxation of churches, are some of the issues documented in the records. Information on the internal workings of the agency are also in the records.
