The collection also includes photographs of the Freshman Class of 1918, Women's Intramural Council, Women's Student Council, Orchesis, and the J. Lesslie Hall Literary Society, as well as campus activities such as Christmas, H2E Club, Homecoming, May Day and Song Contest. There are also photographs of women's athletics: archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, bowling, bridge, canoeing, field hockey, gymnastics, horseshoes, lacrosse, pingpong, soccer, swimming, tennis and track.

Martha Elizabeth Barksdale was a member of the first class of women to graduate from the College of William and Mary in 1921. She taught physical education at William and Mary from 1921 to 1966.
