Barksdale, Martha Elizabeth, 1900-1974.
Martha Elizabeth Barksdale was a member of the first class of women to graduate from the College of William and Mary in 1921. She taught physical education at William and Mary from 1921 to 1966. She was the first woman tapped into the Virginia Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
