Dorothea C. Leighton and Alexander H. Leighton collection Papers. 1900-1982 1940-1959.

Papers, life histories, personal correspondence, field notes and miscellaneous publications relating to studies of Navajo life and social conditions of the mid-Twentieth Century. The bulk of the collection consists of the field notes kept by the Leightons and their colleagues during their studies on the Navajo Reservation in the 1940s and 1950s.
