Cyril Clemens (1902- ) was editor of the Mark Twain Journal and president of an international Mark Twain society. John Tinney McCutcheon (1870-1949) was a newspaper cartoonist and war correspondent. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, McCutcheon graduated from Purdue University in 1889.
