Duncan G. (Duncan Grainger) McRae (1808-1889) was a steamboat agent at Wilmington, N.C.; president of the Fayetteville and Western Railroad; and justice of the peace of Cumberland County, N.C. He was also involved with the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railroad and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization.
