Author, librarian, and professor; resident of Iowa City, Iowa. Born in Evansville, Ind., Constance "Connie" Frick attended Indiana University, graduating in 1934. Her first employment during the Depression was as a bookstore clerk in her home town of Evansville. Himie Voxman is among UI's most honored faculty and administrators. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the UI with high distinction in 1933, and received a master's degree in 1934 in the psychology of music, studying with pioneering researcher Carl Seashore.
