The Rev. Richard C. Law, S.J., papers, 1941-1945 (bulk 1942-1945).

The Law papers consist of transcriptions of approximately 500 letters received during World War II by the Rev. Richard C. Law, S.J., and other faculty at Georgetown University from former students and alumni on active duty in the armed services. The correspondents largely relate news about other alumni, but some also provide glimpses of training, combat, or cultural experiences in North Africa, Europe, or China. Most of the information in these letters may be found in digest form in the Georgetown College 'Discipline Office newsletter' (no. 1-19, Aug. 6, 1943-April 19, 1946) which is included in the collection.
