Richard C. Law was born on Feb. 12, 1902. He entered the Society of Jesus on Sept. 20, 1925 and began his studies at the Novitiate of St. Andrew-on-Hudson, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He continued his education at Woodstock College, Woodstock, Md., during 1929-1931. From 1932 to 1934 Law taught at the College of St. Francis Xavier in New York City. He began his theological studies at Woodstock in 1935 and was ordained to the priesthood on July 20, 1937. From 1941 until his retirement in 1956, Fr. Law was on the faculty of Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. In 1958 he was appointed pastor of St. Ignatius Church in Baltimore, Md., and remained there until his death on Oct. 13, 1960.
