Collection bulks largely with legal documents including warranty and quit claim deeds dating from the 1870s. Contains patents to large tracts of land in Crosby, Dickens, and Floyd Counties, financial documents such as mortgages on land and releases, and copies of wills used to establish ownership. Correspondence pertaining to titles, mortgages, and foreclosures are also included. Collection also contains correspondence with land commissioners regarding titles and leases, as well as correspondence regarding cattle sales, cattle count, and brands from 1915-18, sale notices, and field notes by a surveyor.
