This collection consists of the personal papers of Edward A. Fitzpatrick, President of Mount Mary College from 1929-1954. It includes a large amount of professional correspondence, both to and from Fitzpatrick, with authors, editors, publishers, politicians, organizations and foreign dignitaries. The collection also contains some of Fitzpatrick's published and unpublished manuscripts which include drafts for books, his editorials from the Catholic School Journal, articles, and his speeches. Events and proceedings at Mount Mary College are documented through materials such as correspondence, memoranda and reports. Overall, the collection is a testament to Fitzpatrick's active professional life which also sheds light on the college's history during his presidency.
