Papers [manuscript]. 1932-1987.

Newscuttings, typescripts, research material, correspondence and other papers relating to Pearl's historical research, work as a journalist and other activities. The papers include some material relating to Pearl's time as a student at the University of Melbourne. The newscuttings include copies of articles written by Pearl for "The Sunday Telegraph", 1939-1947 and his 'On the margin' column in "The Sydney Morning Herald", 1968-1971. Also included are subject files on the University of Melbourne, 1930s; inventions; flying; food; Dr L.L. Smith; Thomas Watling; jargon; Mafeking; Adelaide Ironside; Wood Jones; Hugh Robertson; housing; Richard and Anne Hughes; Ireland and the Mole tank invented by Lancelot de Mole.
