Variant namesRichard Hughes was foreign correspondent in the Orient for several newspaper groups. He gained a number of international scoops including close acquaintanceship with Richard Sorge and an exlusive interview with Burgess and Maclean after their defection to Moscow. He was a keen Sherlock Holmes fan.
