1. Four diaries kept by Lady Franklin of an excursion from Melbourne to Sydney in 1839 in a pony cart over a track which corresponds to what is now the Hume Highway. 2. Diary kept by Lady Franklin of a journey from Hobart to Adelaide on December 1840 in the schooner Abeona. Lady Franklin stayed two weeks in Adelaide visiting Port Lincoln and Kangaroo Island before returning to Hobart in January 1841.
