Whip fashioned by Grainger from a light-duty leather plaited whip with green cord tip, with additional plaited catgut bound to cord. The handle and shaft of whip covered with newspaper bound together with a variety of heavyweight strings. Legible print on newspaper reads "Financial Saturday Sept 7. 1940" and "London."
