Sliding pipe free music invention [realia] / Percy Grainger, Burnett Cross. 1946.

Flat piece of masonite with two slide whistles supported on wooden blocks- slide rod is attached to a horizontal wooden rod with string which slide along a groove cut into masonite. Grainger and Cross' earliest experimental model to produce gliding tones.
