Neurosurgeon and medical educator Ernest Sachs (1879-1958) received his medical degree from Johns Hospkins University School of Medicine in 1904. He served his internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital (1904-1907) and was clinical clerk at the National Hospital in London (1908). He joined the faculty and administration of Washington University School of Medicine in 1911, serving as: associate professor of surgery (1911-1919), professor of clinical neurological surgery (1919-1946), and professor emeritus....

Robert A. Ratcheson received his medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1965. He served on the house staff of Barnes Hospital at the Washington University Medical Center in 1972. He went on to appointments at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine serving as professor and chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery.
