Transcripts in the handwriting of A.L. Pinart of two Mss. from the collection of the Abbé Brasseur de Bourbourg, as follows: 1. Títulos de la Casa Ixcuin-Nihaib, señora del Territorio de Otzoya [1524], 30 p. An early Spanish version of a history of the Quiché Indians up to and including the time of Pedro de Alvarado. This Spanish text, for which there is no known Quiché version, is printed in Adrián Recinos, Crónicas Indígenas de Guatemala (Editorial Universitaria, Guatemala City, 1957) 2. Memorial escrito en lengua Cacchiquel por Dn Francisco Hernandez Arana Xahilá, cacique de Tecpanatitlan, completado y continuado por Dn Francisco Dias Xebuta Queh ... [16th cent.], 207 p. A legendary history of the Cakchiquel Indians, written in Cakchiquel by Indian nobles, with the portion up to 1562 by Arana and the closing portion by "Xebuta Queh" (Francisco Días Gebuta Quej). At the beginning of the volume, Pinart has included notes on Juan de Medina, titles of works on Central American explorations, and a list of Bishops of Guatemala.
