Several items relate especially to mission affairs, including letters from Fray Faustino González, president of the Pimería Alta missions, to officials at the presidio of Altar, 1824-1828, items 2, 6, 22, 25, 28, 30 and 40; letters of Father Miguel Montés, 1827, to the alcalde at Altar, items 31-35; conflict of the friars with temporal authorities, 1827-1828, items 29, 39, and 41; letters of Fray Juan Vaño, 1827, concerning complaints against the alcalde of Altar, items 11 and 18; inventories of mission property at Tumacácori and San Ignacio Caburi, 1829-1841, items 46 and 65.
