Erection [sic] ... Cath[edralis Mexiconensis] : Toledo : DS, 1534.

Contemporary revised copy of Zumárraga's Latin proclamation on establishment of the Mexico City Cathedral and diocese, later archdiocese. Quotes the relevant bull of Clement VII, Rome, September 2, 1530, naming Zumárraga as first bishop of the diocese, and setting forth statutes for its administration. Appended in Spanish are 1) a signed certification, Mexico City, June 2?, 1548, attesting Zumárraga's acceptance and signing of the revised instrument; and 2) a statement, Valladolid, November 6, 1536, signed by Queen Isabel of Portugal and Juan de Samano, transmitting this revised text to Zumárraga and requesting that it be implemented and the Council duly notified.
