Notebook, 1780-1831.

This collection consists of one notebook in which Parsons apparently recorded names of local residents and dates of the death of several. There are also line-a-day diary entries for the years 1828-1831 and copies of several of Parsons' bills, notes, and receipts. In addition, there is an undated letter written by Rebeccah Parsons to their son Samuel in New Orleans.

Solomon Parsons, Jr. (1757-1831), a native of Leicester, Mass., son of Dr. Solomon Parsons and grandson of Rev. David Parsons (1681-1743), was a farmer. He was a soldier in the Revolution, wounded at the Battle of Monmouth in 1778. He and his wife, Rebeccah Coburn Wesson, were original members of the First Baptist Church in Worcester, Mass.
