This diary, interleaved in a 1766 almanac, includes infrequent one-line entries, including where she dined, whom she visited, who preached, etc. There are several references to her father and her brother, Edward Augustus Holyoke (1728-1829), a Marblehead physician. She also mentions the rejoicing in Boston and Cambridge at the repeal of the Stamp Act. Also included are a few personal accounts. At the front of the diary she has copied a long prayer.

Priscilla Holyoke (1739-1782) was born in Cambridge, Mass., where her father, Edward Holyoke (1689-1769) was president of Harvard College. In 1780, she married Eliphalet Pearson (1752-1826). Edward Augustus Holyoke was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts on August 1, 1728. He attended Harvard College during his father Edward Holyoke's tenure as President and graduated in 1746.
