Jones E. Bolt was born 16 June 1921 at Ware Shoals, S.C. He entered military duty in August 1942 and in 1944 was assigned to the 362d Fighter Bomber Group in England. He flew 15 combat missions in the European Theatre of Operations. From 1946-1966 Bolt held positions with the Army at bases in Illinois, Iowa and Texas. In 1966 Bolt was transferred to Southeast Asia and in 1967 he was sent to Da Nang Air Base. He regularly flew missions to Hanoi. Following the assignment he was awarded the Air For...
