Papers, 1825-1897.

This collection of papers contains family correspondence, for the period 1825 to 1870, much of which was written by Theophilus and Elizabeth to Robinson and his second wife, Mary. There are four sermons by Dunn, from the period 1851 to 1864, as well as documents, receipts, and letters relating to Dunn's estate, 1867 to 1869, of which Dwight Foster (1828-1884) was executor. The collection also includes a volume of newspaper extracts and resolutions concerning the life and death of Dunn, letters of condolence to Mary S. F. Dunn, copies of sermons in memory of Dunn, and letters to Mary concerning a photograph and a portrait of her husband. Another volume contains correspondence thanking Mary for sending the book In Memoriam: Robinson Potter Dunn, as well as newspaper extracts, most of which are obituary notices of the writers of the thank-you letters.
