The Collection includes information on the incorporation of African American businesses and clubs in Pueblo and Denver; biographical information on Afro-American pioneers--John Taylor, Julia Greeley, Aunt Clara Brown, Barney Launcelot Ford, Lewis Price, Henry O. Wagner, and James Pierson Beckwourth; notes of the Afro-American town, Dearfield; and some information on the 9th Cavalry stationed at Fort Lewis and other black troops.

Adventurer, fur trader and trapper, guide, and chief of the Crow Indians, 1824-1836.
