Adventurer, fur trader and trapper, guide, and chief of the Crow Indians, 1824-1836. Beckwourth fought in the Mexican War, 1845, was involved in fighting various Indian tribes, rustled horses with Chief Walkara, 1846, and was employed by A.P. Vasquez and Co., at Pikes Peak, Colorado Territory.
