Wright Bryan was a journalist, university administrator, and historian. He worked on a number of newspapers and was a war correspondent eventually serving as managing editor of the "Atlanta Journal" and editor of the "Cleveland Plain Dealer." He returned as Vice President for Development to his alma mater, Clemson University and wrote a history of it.
