Arranged in two groups: I. Vocal scores (10). II. Promptbooks (4). All vocal scores are publications of Jos. W. Stern, New York, and represent the production as produced by the Dippel Opera Company at the 44th Street Theatre, New York, on October 28, 1914, staged by Sydney Ellison. Copy 8 of the vocal scores contains the interpolated number "Sunny Riviera Bay" by Malvin M. Franklin, with lyrics by L. Wolfe Gilbert (pub. by Stern, c1915, pl. no. 8025-5). Copies 9 and 10 are labelled "Director's score" and include interpolated numbers both published and in manuscript. Included is "Lilac Domino - syncopated version" by Franklin and Wolfe (Stern, c1915, pl. no. 7981-3) and unattributed manuscript versions of "Sunny Riviera Bay," "Song of the Chimes," "Ladies Day," "Ballet," "What is Done You Never Can Undo," and "Won't Someone Find Me a Sweetheart." Promptbooks are in typescript.

L. Wolfe Gilbert (1886-1970) was an American lyricist and composer during the twentieth century. Known as the "Dean of Tin Pan Alley", Gilbert was born in Odessa, Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with his family as an infant. He later moved to New York City and started working in vaudeville as a teenager. Gilbert wrote his first hit song, "Waitin' for the Robert E.
