Letter dated 7 September 1909, Philadelphia, to a Mr. Page. Pound thanks Page for his kind review of two of Ezra Pound's books of poetry. The review appeared in Book News Monthly. The books in question are probably Personae and Exultations, both published in 1909 by Elkin Mathews of London.

John S. Van E. Kohn (1906-1976) was born in New York City and graduated from Williams College in 1928. He went on to study at Harvard University, from which he received an M.A. in 1930.
