Correspondence, reports, proposals, field notes, leases, memos, personnel records, requests for information and other records of the Carnegie Institution of Washington relating to funding for genetics research and administration of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Included are records of the Bursar's Office, the library, the Eugenics Record Office, the Genetics Research Unit, conferences, and correspondence of several hundred scientists who worked at the Lab, including Charles B. Davenport, Reginald G. Harris, Max Delbruck, Milislav Demerec, Albert F. Blakeslee, Eric Ponder, Hugo Fricke, Morris Steggerda, G.L. Streeter, W.M. Gilbert, and Paul A. Scherer.
