Of note is a letter from Daniel Webster, 1845; memoir of Rev. William Benjamin, 1860; memoir of a whaling voyage by John R.W. Benjamin (1831-1906), 1851-1852. Photographs include tintypes, cartes de visite, photographs, and postcards of cranberry bogs, Shinnecock Indians, the Long Island Railroad, and portraits.

A stars and stripes flag of Captain John Hurlbert of the 3rd Regiment of Bridgehamton, N.Y. is said to have been made seven months before tradition tells that Betsy Ross made hers.
