Miscellaneous records from local governments in Rockland County. Records from the Town of Ramapo include assessor's field books, 1882 and 1885; assessment roll, 1877; attendance register, School District No. 6, 1880-1881; and record book from the Highway Commissioners and the Town Board, 1854-1881, containing road surveys, lists of Highway Overseers, election results, accounts, resolutions, and school district boundaries. Records from the Town of Clarkstown include assessment roll, 1871, and minutes of the Board of Excise, 1870-1883, concerning licenses granted and complaints of drunkenness at public houses.
